A beluga whale was relocated from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died a short time later. The move was completed before the loss.
Marineland also sent four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no dolphins left. Only belugas continue to reside there.
